New Flora of Sussex

A New Flora of Sussex is currently being prepared.  This aims to be provide a comprehensive view of the vascular plants of the county from 2000 to the present with historical and ecological notes.  Some 3,000 different species are treated, the majority with maps based on tetrads to illustrate their distribution in the county.

If you want to know what species have been recorded in your area, see the current Sussex plant species lists.

In addition, we are also seeking photographs for possible inclusion in the Flora. See the list of species for which photographs are still sought.
