“in a field of flowers”: Exhibition at Lewes Castle

Sussex Archaeological Society (SAS) have an exhibition running through to 31 December that SBRS members will certainly be interested in.

The collection at Barbican House Museum in Lewes includes a significant amount of botanical drawings and watercolours from Sussex. These, together with personal Floras, were created between 1860 and 1920, and form an important and historically valuable record of the wildflowers of Sussex.

The exhibition is at 169 High Street, Lewes, BN7 1XH, and normal admission prices apply.
