This morning, as most mornings, I walked Barney around the clover fields at Goodwood. As it was quite hot at 6am Barney took a short cut over rather than around the field: I estimate 20,000+ Orobanche minor which are marginally more than last year, however this is the first occurrence as far as I am aware of the var. flava. Taking Barney home I returned and systematically walked the field and counted seven var. flava.
