On 15 June Dawn’s Chichester group recorded arable margins at the SE corner of Thorney Island.  As usual, Anne de Potier dealt with security and got us to the right spot.  A shallow pool just beyond one of the fields was not in the remit but too good to miss.  While a distant cuckoo called, Sue fished out a small-leaved Callitriche for Elisabeth which revealed itself to be brutia subsp brutia with its characteristic stalked fruit.
